As the designated hitter for the Red Sox, David "Big Papi" Ortiz batted his way into the team's and fan's hearts with his even-tempered attitude and his incredible hitting statistics. In the 2004 season, the ALCS MVP batted .301 with 41 homers and 139 RBI. But perhaps his greatest moments were the multiple game-winning hits in the postseason giving the BoSox what they needed to claim a championship.
