Boston Red Sox Johnny Pesky Autographed 8 x 10 Photo

Johnny Pesky was shortstop/third baseman who played for Boston Red Sox from 1942 to 1954. He missed all of the 1943, 1944, and 1945 seasons while serving in World War II. Johnny Pesky also played for Detroit tigers, (1952-1954) and the Washington Senators (1954).

Pesky was a popular and talented player, known by many as Mr. Red Sox but he was most famous for hitting fly balls toward the right field foul pole at Fenway Park. And thus was born "the Pesky Pole." Johnny Pesky always loved the right field "Pesky Pole" named after him and Red Sox Nation has always loved the man that loved to hit the most famous pole in all of baseball.
